| Service Description: | I am a qualified primary school teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and an Advanced Diploma in Special Educational Needs (SEN). I am both ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and TEACCH trained. I am working privately as a Specialist Teacher supporting children, parents, health colleagues and educational settings both pre and post diagnosis.
I am able to visit you and your child/family at home at a time convenient to you. This can be as part of an ADOS assessment package or as bespoke individual sessions to offer support and guidance based on need. I can visit schools or pre-schools to offer support, advice and practical hands on strategies that staff can implement to support childen with Social Communication difficulties or ASD.
I am able to write detailed, comprehensive Specialist Teacher reports, based on these educational observations which can be used as evidence towards Educational Health Care (EHC) Plan assessments by your local authority. I am able to conduct the full ADOS assessment for all ages, from 12 months, as I have trained in the new Toddler module, through to Module 5, which is designed to highlight ASD symptoms in adults. Theses assessments can then be used as part of the diagnostic process by your Paediatrician.
