Provider details

Service Description:
The Music Man Project is an accessible music education service specifically for people with learning disabilities, offering inspirational opportunities for singing, playing and performing together.

We are part of the award-winning Music Man Project UK and have performed at the London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall as well as at many local events.

We run sessions throughout the week in Medway and Maidstone, as well as offering workshops and performances to schools, care-homes and other community groups.

The aims of the project are to:

•Provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities to sing, play and perform.
•Promote community and a place of belonging.
•Build confidence, inspire, and encourage a sense of achievement.
•Challenge misconceptions by demonstrating what people with disabilities CAN do, despite the challenges they face.
•Bring out the best in each of our performers
•Learn together and have fun!

Sessions are run by Sarah Mann, qualified SEN teacher and musician.

The Music Man Project is fully inclusive, we aim to cater for anyone regardless of their learning or physical disability.
