Medway Youth Service delivers open access projects across the area. Young people spend time with their friends taking part in a wide range of activities, learning new skills, developing their confidence and having fun. Activities are planned with young people, so our program evolves based on young people’s needs and interests. Projects happen in a variety of locations including:
Strood Youth Centre, Montfort Road, Strood.
Gillingham Children and Families Hub, Woodlands Road, Gillingham.
Parkwood Youth Centre, Deanwood Drive, Rainham.
The WREC, 1st Floor, The Pentagon, Chatham.
As well as in a range of community facilities that include work in: Luton, the Delce, Lordswood, Hoo and Grain. Visit our website for more details.
All young people are welcome to attend our sessions and youth workers will work with young people, parents and carers to attempt to overcome barriers to inclusion.
The service also delivers two specific sessions aimed at young people with additional needs. These happen on Wednesdays and are Shine at the Gillingham Children and Families Hub for young people aged 10-18 and Wednesday Squad at Parkwood Youth Centre, which is aimed at young people aged 16-25.
