| Service Description: | Choice & Harmony is a day centre for adults with learning disabilities. We believe that all service users have the right to live an independent, full and active life. Everyone has the right to privacy, dignity, independence, choice and self-expression.
To help achieve this, we provide a friendly, caring environment whilst giving the highest standard of care. Each individual receives a tailored, person-centred plan incorporating activities situated either within the centre or based out in the community and based on their individual needs and ability.
We will assist, guide and support our service users in the development of a range of social and personal living skills for use at home, leisure and in the community.
We encourage and support families as they fulfil their role as caregiver, ensuring collaboration with any other members of the multidisciplinary health professional team.
All our staff hold an enhanced DBS certificate and are suitable trained, qualified and assessed as competent to carry out their duties.
To be eligible to join the centre, the service user must have a diagnosed learning disability.
