Service Description:City of Rochester School is a specialist independent school supporting children and young people aged 5 to 18 with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school provides a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment, focusing on confidence, resilience, and success.
The curriculum is personalised to meet individual student needs, offering qualifications from entry-level to GCSEs and beyond. The school also has a vocational college, providing BTECs in Construction, Engineering, and Hair & Beauty, helping students develop practical skills for future careers. Learning is enhanced through experiential education, including forest school, STEM workshops, photography, and work experience opportunities.
A strong therapeutic approach supports students' social and emotional development. The in-house therapy team includes speech and language therapists, play and arts therapists, counsellors, and occupational therapists. The school also prioritises pastoral care and family engagement.
