Medway Parents and Carers Forum (MPCF) is an independent group formed and run by parents, families and carers of children and young people aged 0 to 25, whatever their disability or additional support need, from all communities and backgrounds. It works in partnership with voluntary and statutory services to raise awareness of common issues that affect those families and improve outcomes for disability groups across Medway.
Through surveys, social media and face to face events, we obtain comments and feedback from parents and carers, and representatives from the Forum participate in strategic planning groups to ensure the voices of parents and carers are heard in a structured way, helping to influence the development of services to make lives better.
The Forum run information days, events and coffee mornings and can signpost to services and activities. It also offers relevant training for volunteers or people who want to be committee members and attend more formal meetings and workshops.
