Provider details

Service Description:
KDCS is a Kent based charity with a registered office in Maidstone, which is here to support every deaf child and their family. With our commitment to supporting the needs of a deaf child and their family in understanding deafness and incorporating Deaf Awareness in to their every day lives.

Our aim is for deaf children to feel empowered and own their deafness, which in turn enables them to realise their true potential and manage their diagnosis as they move through school and friendships towards independence. Plus offer advice and guidance to the whole family through our friendly community of families and volunteers.

We do this by offering an extensive program including dedicated youth groups, seasonal activities, family events, signposting, a forum in which to access our community and much more.

KDCS is strongly linked and affiliated to the National Deaf Children’s Society, we are also proud to have built strong links with other agencies such as the NHS, Kent’s Specialist Teaching Service and Kent County Council.
