I am a level 6 childcare provider who holds a BA HONS Degree in Early Childhood Studies. I have been fully qualified since June 2013 and have gained a lot of experience since leaving university. I have worked with all different age ranges of children and have managed a newly opened Pre-School for just under a year.

I provide a high-quality childcare from my own home where my son and I live and I am now working alongside 3+ assistants. All staff will have the following:

Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification (or working towards)
Enhanced DBS Check and on the Update Service
Paediatric First Aid Training
Level 2 Food and Hygiene

Within the setting we have an Under 3’s Playroom, Pre-School Playroom and a large garden area. We provide a very relaxed, happy and caring environment which focuses on each child as an individual. We offer a lot of one-to-one interaction to every child and this is due to having a much smaller ratio than a nursery or pre-school.

While in our care we will supervise and monitor the safety of the children, prepare healthy and nutritious meals and help children keep good hygiene. We carry out play based education activities throughout the day within the setting.
We have full understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and will be tracking each childs progress throughout their time with us. We provide a Learning Journal for each child which can be taken home when they leave. We promote and demonstrate a high level of professionalism when carrying out our work and take our job extremely seriously.

We provide high quality care by:

• Planning, providing and taking part in play-based activities, stimulate and support children’s intellectual, physical, social, emotional and language development.
• Listening to, encourage, enabling, stimulating and ensuring the safe keeping of the children.
• Providing provision of refreshments, encouraging healthy eating and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Implement and updates Policies and Procedures in line with Ofsted.
