My name is Florence and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder operating as (A-Kass Childminding). I live in Twydall, Elmfield, Gillingham. As a mother of three lovely children, I understand the importance of quality childcare.

My Setting
I provide childcare for children aged 9 months to 16 years in a safe, warm and engaging environment. My goal is to ensure every child feels comfortable, has fun and grows in confidence. I focus on supporting each child’s individual needs and development in line with the EYFS framework, specifically focusing on:

- Physical Development
- Personal, Social, and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Literacy and Creative Arts

Services Offered

Ages 9 Months – 4 Years: I also offer childcare places for children eligible for government funding. Activities include messy play, soft play, story time, and structured nap times and so on

Ages 5 – 16 Years: I provide flexible childcare, including morning school drop-offs and after-school collections for local schools. Older children are encouraged to engage in various activities and games of their choice.

Outings: We make regular visits to local parks, playgroups, and the Twydall Library to support social development and community engagement.

Facilities & Activities

My setting features a large, secure garden for outdoor play and a child-friendly indoor space. We enjoy a variety of stimulating activities such as:

Painting and arts & crafts
Educational games and reading
Weekly themed activities to keep children engaged

Health & Wellbeing
Nutrition: Healthy meals and snacks can be provided or arranged as agreed.
Hygiene: I maintain high standards of hygiene and safety within my setting.

Partnership: I work closely with parents to maintain routines and support each child’s learning and wellbeing.
