Disability Confident

National Service

Provider details

Service Description:
The Government’s Disability Confident scheme helps employers make the most of the opportunities provided by employing disabled people. It is a voluntary, free membership scheme, which has been developed by employers and representatives of disabled people.

The Disability Confident scheme supports and recognises businesses that are actively inclusive in their recruitment and retention. Thousands of businesses are already signed up and are playing a leading role in changing attitudes for the better.

Employers who are signed up to the scheme and have job vacancies can be found on the Find a Job page by searching Disability Confident.

We also have employers come into our office and hold guaranteed interviews or are taking part of our regular job fairs where we are able to get many of our claimants into work including those that may have disabilities or mental health issues. We also provide training for people who are looking to get into retail work and need assistance to update their CV’s or require support with attending and being successful at interviews. We take referrals and then case load to support claimants getting into work.
